Mario Chamorro C.
Chief Executive Officer
Extensive experience in the financial and banking sectors, with over 40 years in the industry. His career began at the Superintendence of Banks and Financial Institutions and Banco Osorno. However, the most significant stage of his career was at Corp Group and Corpbanca, where he led the growth of these institutions, both in Chile and abroad. In 1996, he joined Corp Group as Executive Director of strategic projects. In 1999, he became General Manager of Corpbanca, a position he held for almost 12 years. Since its stock market listing in 2002, Corpbanca's market capitalization grew more than threefold during his management, and the bank expanded operations to the USA and later to Colombia by acquiring Banco Santander’s assets in that country. In 2012, he was named one of the Top 50 CEOs in Latin America by Harvard Business Review (HBR). He then took on the role of General Manager of Tanner Financial Services for two years.
He became General Manager of Banco Internacional in November 2015, with the goal of making it a leading bank for businesses.
