Sustainability
ILC was founded in the early 1980s, with the objective of enhancing social security for construction workers and their families, both in the pension and healthcare sectors.
Each of its companies operates with a distinctive social focus, aligned with ILC’s Corporate Purpose. This commitment is managed through a Sustainability Model, based on six key pillars:
Governance, Strategy, Global Organizations, Measurement Tools, Reporting, Corporate Social Responsibility, with a focus on older adults.

Sustainability Governance
Both ILC and its subsidiaries have a Sustainability Committee, which reports its activities to the Board of Directors. In addition, ILC participates in the committees of the subsidiaries, in order to consolidate and coordinate the respective progress, achieving greater impact and consistency among the companies.
Among the main responsibilities of the Sustainability Committee are the definition and monitoring of the Sustainability Model, together with each of its pillars: governance, strategy, alliances, tools, reporting and country challenge. Through this Model, the Company seeks to manage the impacts of the organization on the different stakeholders and areas of sustainability.
Compromiso Mayor
DEMOGRAPHIC CHANGE: OUR CHALLENGE
Compromiso Mayor is an ILC initiative that encourages the private sector to commit to enhancing the quality of life for older adults and promoting active and healthy aging through concrete actions in the areas of inclusion, respect, and prevention.
